What you need to know about Interior Detailing

admin

We get many calls specifically requesting interior detailing. While I love making your vehicle look great on the outside, there’s something really satisfying about taking an interior that is just destroyed and making it look new again. So, let’s talk about some of the reasons you might need your interior deep cleaned.

The number one reason people call for our services is some kind of catastrophic situation such as a pet soiling the interior, somebody getting “sick” in the car or spilling something in the interior that will eventually spoil like liquid food, dairy products or baby formula. The types of conditions typically need to be addressed sooner rather than later and require a very specific method of clean up. This can include removing seats from the vehicle and even removing the carpet if the spill has worked its way through the carpeting and all the way to the chassis of the vehicle. Additionally, these types of jobs involve the use of special cleaners to not only clean the stain but destroy the bacteria that WILL cause odors if not treated properly. Extra work is not included in the pricing for a standard interior detail and will be quoted on an individual basis.

Another reason you might need an interior detail is just years of neglect. You haven’t spilled a bowl of soup in your car, but maybe you’ve dropped a coffee or two on the seats or carpeting. Additionally, natural oils from your skin, dirt from your hands and makeup can all accumulate over time and a casual wipe down of your interior will not remove this stubborn ground in dirt and grime.  Below is a before and after picture of the center console lid from a new model Chevy Tahoe.  The top picture was “cleaned” at the car wash.  The bottom picture is what it looks like when all the embedded grime is removed.

Deep cleaning with the proper equipment and techniques are the only thing that will remove this grime and return your vehicle to a “like new” condition.

Many customers call us because they have stubborn pet hair that needs to be removed and normal vacuuming just won’t cut it.  We have the proper tools to remove this pet hair and return your vehicle to like new condition inside.  This is typically an extra charge, depending on the labor involved removing the hair.  We’ve had jobs where the pet hair removal took longer than the entire vehicle detail and so it has to be charged accordingly.

The bottom line is when you need somebody to really clean your vehicle’s interior, not just vacuum it and run a damp cloth over the center console, Suds Mobile Auto Detailing is the company you can trust to give your vehicle the TLC it needs and return it to a like new condition.
