Does Suds offer debadging?
We frequently get asked about debadging (the act of removing badging, plastic molding, dealer’s advertisements, etc) from a vehicle. The quick answer is yes we do this. The often more difficult question is “how much do you charge?” Unfortunately, there’s no quick answer to this. If it’s the stickers placed on your car by Carmax, those typically scrape off pretty easily with a little heat and a quick polish with the buffer will remove the shadowing left by the sticker. If it’s the body side molding on a GMC Yukon, those can typically take up to an hour per to remove, remove all the adhesive residue, compound away the marring left by the removal process and polish it out. Multiply that by four doors and it can start to add up. As with most of our other services, we’re always happy to make time and come out to inspect the vehicle to provide you a more realistic estimate.
We’ve done several jobs for customers where either they or somebody they paid removed badging that looked like it was done with a dull butter knife.

Scrapes and scratches left on the vehicle, adhesive not fully removed, shadowing in the paint where you could clearly see where the badge or logo was removed. That is not a professional job and clearly not what most people are paying for. Rest assured that although we might charge a bit more, the job will be done properly.
